The quest adapts.

ASQ_Play_Spaces_Room_First_Eight_Sheet_v4.gif

A living room can become the vault. A corridor can become the guarded approach. A doorway can become a chokepoint. The Guide uses the safe space available instead of forcing every home into one layout.

One room or many.

Your space becomes the map

Make the most of the safe space you have.

Living room + corridor

Use the living room as the main play area and the corridor as an approach, keeping routes and exits clear.

Several connected rooms

Connect scenes across rooms while keeping thresholds and walking routes clear.

Suitable outdoor area

Use a suitable yard or open space with clear routes and visible boundaries. The Guide adapts the setup to the safe space available.

Distance - One shared Step

About 3 feet, roughly one large walking step, is recommended.

The Guide may choose a different distance to suit the space and players. Everyone uses that same distance.

Make room for safe play.

  • Clear walking and throwing paths.
  • Walk rather than run.
  • Do not climb furniture.
  • Never throw at people, animals or fragile objects.
  • Pause before retrieving targeting pieces.
